Teachers join the scientists on the ice

Scientists from the US, Newzealand, Italy and Germany just started to drill a 1000 meter sediment core from the seafloor of Antarctica. Scientists from Germanys Alfred Wegener Institute are investigating the chemical and phyical properties of the ice core. Teacher Rainer Lehmann is part of the team and posting news about the drilling project for his pupils and everyone interested in this adventure. More about ANDRILL  project...
